The game boasts an array of weapon types, each categorized into one of three roles: offense, defense, or support, and various stats that influence their performance. Charging an attack can activate an elemental attack, granting specific effects and debuffs against enemies. Combining weapons with specific role combinations triggers Weapon Resonance, granting various buffs. Furthermore, some weapons, known as Simulacrum, feature AI representations of their former wielders. These Simulacra offer high upgrade potential and the ability to transform the player character into the Simulacrum character, providing access to unique Traits. Upgrading these Simulacra unlocks additional content, enabling players to delve into the stories of the characters they represent.
As a "shared world" RPG, Tower of Fantasy facilitates interactions between players on the same server, allowing them to coexist within the same instance of the game world. Cooperative play supports up to four players from the same server, enabling collaborative exploration, mission completion, and the challenging of world bosses. Additionally, PvP options are available, allowing players to engage in open-world combat duels or participate in the Apex League arena mode, competing for coveted leaderboard positions and special rewards.
